Unable to send emails to att mail addresses due to DNSBL:RBL issue

Hi

I am having problems sending emails to the following domains

@bellsouth.net

@sbcglobal.net

@att.net

@swbell.net

from my own email server with the ip address 209.133.199.242

These are just simple business email communication emails between me and my clients.

Reporting-MTA: dns; server.oempartsstore.com

Action: failed

Status: 5.0.0
Remote-MTA: dns; al-ip4-mx-vip1.prodigy.net
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 553 5.3.0 alph771 DNSBL:RBL 521< 209.133.199.242 >_is_blocked.For assistance forward this error toabuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

I have emailed abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net a number of times but nothing happens. I need to know how to get my servers ip address removed from the RBL?

We understand the impact this will have on email communication for your business, @theoempartsstore. Let us help clear this error code, so you can send emails again.

We encourage you to be patient for a response from abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net since you already contacted the right department to help you remove your server IP from RBL.

In the meantime, are you receiving this issue through a web browser or Email client?

Web browser:

  1. First clear your cache and cookies
    • Clearing your cache and cookies will resolve minor errors inside the networkDisable add-ons or use a different web browser
      • Sometimes add-ons will block the access on the port needed to send the Email
      • Using a different browser will help determine if the issue is within the Email, web browser, or device
  2. Try sending the Email on a different device
  3. This will narrow down the trouble to determine if it is an Email trouble
  4. If issue resolves by step 3. This will show you that the issue is within the device or web browser.

For Email clients:

  1. Double check the outbound mail settings.
    • There are instances in which we have seen the outbound settings change
  2. If they are correct. There has been a recent update on Email security with Email clients.

Let us know if this helps.

I use Outlook for direct emails and my server also sends emails like purchase invoices.

So 'Web browser' does not affect the way I am sending emails.

The suggestion for 'Email clients'

I have checked this and my settings are fine. I can send emails to mail-tester.com which confirms everything I am sending is correct. I have SPF, DMARC and DKIM set up correctly.

The suggestion for OAUth or secure key refers to sending emails from ATT which I am not doing.

How do I know why my ip address is on the RBL at ATT? How long does it take to action my request as legitimate ATT email users are not receiving my emails eve though they are not newsletter spam etc?

Hello, theoempartsstore.

We don't have an estimated time frame for when you will receive a response. We recommend sending another email requesting a followup.

You can also contact the Business Forums team. Others have had success with getting their email unblocked after reaching out to them.

If you need assistance with anything else, let us know.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.
