Unable to log into email using any iOS device

I had combined ID's through ATT and ever since, we are unable to access our email. If we use a browser, we can log in just fine. I've contacted ATT, Yahoo and Apple with no resolution (this was 6 hours of phone calls) ATT decided that I could log-in using a browser, it was no big deal - except ALL my contacts are linked to my sbcglobal account :(

This is not the issue.  It's a coding issue with ATT.  They created too many user ID's then advised me to combine them all.  After that happened, iOS devices are unable to authenticate the email I'm trying to sign into.  It freezes the system and sends me on a loop.  It's not an Apple or Yahoo issue either....

ATT customer service is absolutely the worst.  I've talked to 11 different representatives.  The last one basically called me stupid and argued that I didn't what I was doing and why if I had an iOS device would I be using a sbglobal domain.

Let us know email app(s) you're using on your iOS devices, BMICKEY2.

This will help us determine where the problem lies. If you haven't done so yet, use the following troubleshooting options from our Login and Email Solutions guide:

  • Use the latest version of the mailbox. Updates and changes may prevent it from working properly.

  • Rebuild your mailbox profile. In some instances, rebuilding the profile fixes some issues. You may lose email doing this.

  • Change your settings from POP to IMAP.

We'll be awaiting your response.

I spoke to a rep who then had me create a mail key and log into my mail using "other".  I can now get my emails on my phone but I have lost ALL my contacts since they are tied to my Yahoo account and those wont load using "other".

Let us know if you're able to recover your contacts with the link we provided, BMICKEY2. If not, we'll see what else we can do.

ATTHelp...   @BMICKEY2 will NEVER be able to make that work.  I've been telling you and your supervisor this for at least a year.  The Deleted Contacts option hasn't been available for Yahoo/AT&T accounts for ages.

@tonydi  not one person at ATT seems to listen to what I’ve been telling them. I had an employee tell me I wasn’t doing it right and if I had an iPhone then why would I still use an sbcglobal.net domain?  Yes, I went off on him.  I’ve been trying to get this straightened out now for four days and at least 13 employees.  The last one finally seems to understand what needs to be done.  I was able to retrieve my contacts only by using a desktop, exporting the files, creating a google account, and importing the contacts to Google. Then I had to log into a Google account on my phone then add them to my cell phone.  The crappy part is none of the contacts loaded correctly.  They either show by email or Business name.

IT SHOULDNT BE THIS HARD!

Ahh, ok, so the Contacts weren't completely gone, just not showing up when you used your phone.  You're very lucky, most of the time they just vanish everywhere.  Hopefully you can get things straightened out and be back in business.  Keep exporting your contact list on a regular basis, though.
