Too many times incorect PW

I have reset my pw numerous times only to find that the issue comes right back. Sometimes it fixes it for a few week and others never resolves the issue. I have only had Email on my phone for 5 months now. I have account.

Hey there @pobrien. It would be our pleasure to see if we can find a more permanent fix for what you are experiencing when you have to reset your password.


To best help you, please let us know just a few things:

  1. When you are logging in using a personal computer, are you logging in via Currently? Or a third party mail client such as Outlook or Thunderbird? This will help us understand what the root cause of this might be.
  2. Are you seeing any error codes when you are locked out and have to update your password? There are a few different error codes you may be seeing when prompted. Please let us know if you have seen a 'Care Code' or timeout notification.

In the meantime, let's try a few things to see if we can resolve this right away.

  • Clear the cache and cookies from the browser you are using. This will prevent your saved passwords or browser settings from interacting with your email account in a negative way.
  • Try using a different web browser, and make sure that it is running on the most recent update. We recommend Firefox or Chrome.
  • Take a look at our official forums post on Email Troubleshooting for a variety of additional tips. 
  • Once you have done eveything above, reset your password again to resync your account. Please be advised that to protect your account from fraud, your account may continue to be locked for the full 24 hour duration. Continued attempts to log in may cause this to lockout reoccur. 
  • You may also decide to try to use a third party mail client if you have not done so already. To do so, you will need to create a secure mail key and link your account to the service. For an example, here are the steps to set up Microsoft Outlook. We recommend this since it appears you are not experiencing this on your mobile device. The mobile mail apps operate in a similar way, so it may be a temporary fix worth trying.
