After receiving a ton of spoof and spam emails, I changed my passwords and updated my mac Safari browser.

I made the password change before updating Safari using another web browser on my mac.

Then (as expected with a password change) my mac Mail stopped recognizing my sbcglobal email.

When I went to change the password via "accounts", att would not respond.

I went to change it via "system preferences", "accounts", att would not repond.

I erased the sbc account to reset it, att would not respond to "Yahoo", or "@email" sign in dialog boxes with proper ID input.

As expected, I lost all of my emails cached in Mail on my mac under the SBC address (be forewarned!)

Each time the dialog box stalls after inputting user ID credentials in the Mail program.

Then, when I tried to login via Safari, to check my email, the att sign in boxes will not respond with proper ID on the web.

I erased my browsing history, and autofill passwords.

I logged in and out of my computer.

I tried all of these things again.

None of these solutions have worked.

My SBC email is no longer in my "accounts" either in my system preferences or in Mail.

I logged in via another browser to to my account for help, and on this attempt I received a message from att saying (literally) "It's not you, it's us."

Luckily for me, my email account is still accessible on my iphone after proper password changes, and is behaving as expected.

My email account is also accessible via 3rd party browsers so I can reach my email on my computer.

It is inconvenient.

I can wait this out, but please advise. This should be a quick fix.

I'd prefer to not have to take special trips to the apple store or the at&t store have my mac OS email work seamlessly as it did.

Huh, looks like you have to visit technician that can fix settings.

After encountering a surge in spam emails, I decided to update my passwords and also refreshed my web browser for a smoother online experience. However, I noticed that after changing my passwords, my website login credentials stopped working correctly. I tried updating my password through the website's account settings, but it seems unresponsive. Even after clearing my browser history and attempting to log in and out multiple times, the issue persists. Interestingly, I can still access my account on my mobile device without any problems. It's a bit inconvenient to have to rely on that. Any suggestions for a quick solution to restore seamless access on my computer without needing to visit customer support or the website provider's physical store?"
