I was just told by a chat agent there is nothing they can do to reset my password for the email I’ve had for 10 or 13 years (I lost count).
This is absolute insanity.
I just switched over to AT&T. Originally when I set up my phone plan and switch off of my parents’ plan, I provided the email in question to be used for my wireless account. When I signed up for paperless billing, somehow it set for my parents’ account. The bill was sent to the account that I can now no longer log in to. Thankfully my mom was able to get in to her account and switch things over so she would pay on her end, but I’m still getting emails for her account, which is why I need to keep this email.
I can provide ID and copies of letters that have my name and my parents’ address (where I lived when I set up this email).
The fact that there is nothing they can do is absolutely insane. This customer service is insane. As soon as my 36 month contract is up, I plan on switching providers.
