I am having issues with my primary email. I reset the password about a month ago and when my app requested that I re-enter my password, I got an error code of 205.2 saying I had too many attempts and needed to reset the password again, but when I click the reset password link it tells me that there is not enough information to find my account. I have called AT&T several times today to get it unlocked but they keep telling me that they cannot unlock it and that the user has total access. I have had this email for over 15 years and all of my information goes to this email. I have provided AT&T my information to update the profile to this email account to avoid this, but it never gets updated. Call support told me that there was nothing they could do for me even thought I know my password and I just need the unsuccessful login error message to be cleared.

Email users who have the option to reset their password online are advised to wait a minimum of 30 days.

This is a known issue, and we are working to resolve this as soon as possible. We encourage you to learn all about Care Code: 205.2, which includes workarounds and causes.

So then how long do I have to wait to be able to reset or access my email? Everything is set up to go there and I need to be able to retrieve it. They told me 24 hours on the phone but everytime I re-attempt to log in I get the same message.

Last question, I know my password since I just changed about 30 days ago, but my issue is that the email is locked due to too many unsuccesful attempts, I just need to be able to try again to get in, not a full reset

Clearing the 205 care code requires a password reset, orosa3204. Some have just used the same password instead of creating a different one.

And if I dont have the option to reset my password online? Everytime I try to do so it says that there is not enough information to do so. I have provided a backup email address and phone number to representatives in the past but the profile was never updated. I am told thay the user has total access but the account is currently locked and then hung up on.

You'll want to wait the 30-day time frame, orosa3204, but if there's no option to reset your password online or through customer support, we recommend that you create a new email account.

Understood, but I have several items that needs to be retrieved from the old email such as registration confirmations and other important emails that are expected  to come in.
