I am thinking about it. Especially after looking at this link to a case in California that someone posted.   https://abc7news.com/att-sbc-global-password-reset-email-account-disappeared/12453987/

Same problem here. Hours on customer support given the runaround. I filed with FCC. Hopefully I get a response

@Suziescripts @Youngster90027 @Smithmore1967 @Ladyluck75 @ has anyone checked into legal representation? I filed the complaint with the FCC and waiting to hear back but also want to contact my local news media and check possible legal avenues due to the nature of what was done and the medical info that AT&T has denied me access to information and records I have to have with no exception.

I also reached out to the local news and filed with the FCC. This totally ridiculous.

I seen someone say after they reached out to the FCC they sent them a temporary password.  Smh

I RECEIVED a call last night from the corporate office in Dallas and then another this morning from the corporate office in Atlanta.
The gentleman that called last night fixed my issue in less than an hour!! He said the emails I sent to the corporate executives triggered his involvement. And the call today which I no longer need, was triggered by my BBB complaint.  So these complaints do make a difference and do work. I recommend anyone who hasn’t done those to do them immediately if you are still in need.

I filed a complaint with the FCC over the weekend. They answered this morning that they have contacted ATT and that someone should contact me to resolve this.  I hope they call soon.

The first call they could not verify name on account and since I do not have the account anymore and do not know account number they couldn’t do anything. He did ask for any emails in account to verify it was our account and then someone would call us back in 72 hrs. 10 days later no one called. So I called again and the person I got this time said what the last person told was incorrect. Since the name doesn’t match and there is no recovery email or security questions they can’t do anything. It’s irritating because my husband health info is sent to this account.

Yes, in the eyes of ATT, accounts do mysteriously disappear so ATT is definitely playing some game whether it is knowingly or unknowingly. I too have an account that I have had for 20+ years that ATT is stating no longer exists. Funny thing, I am in IT and can prove that the account still does exist but needs to be either unlocked and/or reset. I have spent 6 hours of my day with the Philippines today trying to get this resolved to no avail. It looks like filing with the FCC is the only way to get a response which I saw on another post. I am assuming that the PI team has limited admin rights to assist customers and unfortunately doesn't have the ability to escalate certain cases that require a higher level of admin visibility or capability.  Hopefully there is an attorney paying attention and looks at a (Edited per community guidelines) approach to stop this nonsense.

I received a call today from corporate. They had received the complaint from BBB. The issue was resolved in less than 15 mins. I was able to set up security questions and cell phone number for verification purposes. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.
