i have been locked over a week and was told due to fraud 1 no one has ever tried to contact me despite many phone calls and numerous recovery forms - I filled a complaint with the FCC last night you might want to do the same. Look through the thread for the link to the form and info on how some have filled it out- I pray we all get help- I'm desperate since I am power of attorney for a sick child and all documents for 10 years are in my email. This is totaling unacceptable!

@2blessed2bstressed2 It is infuriating that there is not a quick resolution. I am sorry that you have to deal with this undue stress and sendinging positive vibes for you and your child. I hope we're able to get this issue resolved. In this day of technology, where everything is electronic based, this should not be happening.

its so infuriating and totally unacceptable I have been so sick for the last week I've had to be on a lot of medication antianxiety I can't sleep due because of all this trauma this has caused. it's not just email casually that I could just sign up for a new one and for them not to have a fix for so many people and it's their product is so wrong we were never notified never told it there's been a breach or there's a problem or to change passwords or anything. I would've done anything to prevent what I'm going through now but this has caused me so much stress and anxiety I've been so ill and still am waiting to hear back and praying that my email can be unlocked and restored and I can get all of my daughters medical information and everything that goes with that for the last 10 years.

They tell you to fill out a form and someone will contact you. From what I'm reading no one has received a phone call.

Why can't they asked us those same questions on the phone?

They act like we're trying to hack our own accounts. If they had that type of security, how did they get hacked in the first place?

Getting a new email is not option.

your exactly right - they have my info to verify my identity and I never received any kind of call back or email to alternate emails provided. I filled out the recovery form many times out of frustration and if they want to claim that's fraud I put the same information in but I did that after I filled out one initial form and waited a week and never got a response. I believe they are being untruthful they're not telling everybody the truth I know that there is a solution I don't think they want to fix it probably want to get rid of the old SBC accounts. something seems absolutely fishy. please fill out the complaint form for the FCC.

I agree but you don't just lock people out.

I read some people had recovery info and still can get in. I wad told by a tech I was lied to and the form is for people who didn't have recovery options.   So why aren't they contacting people? Smh

That form asked for birthyear, folders you made, recent email address you sent, subject...etc

How much more info do they need?

I did file with the FCC. Hopefully it works.

Emails have important information on them.

no you don't lock people out - I was never informed of a compromise to my email or that there was a problem and they just kept say fill out the form- I don't think they are contacting anyone and since this is such an enormous problem it's a way to shut people up giving false hope - that recovery form is worthless and so are the representatives- absolutely worthless- no help. I don't even think I was hacked I think they did something to all these accounts and are saying we were hacked. I hope we all recover our emails and AT&T is held accountable.

Yeah how can your user id and last name not work under forgot password.

I couldn't remember my gmail password  and was able to sign in with my lockscreen code and reset my password

We shall see what happens

it gives me an error message and I think because they put a fraud lock on my account that's why I couldn't change the password- we tried everything I have exhausted all of the avenues with trying to restore my email with AT&T

@Youngster90027 @KNovak123 @Suziescripts @Smithmore1967 - I think I going to contact the news media- have any of you reached out to the media? The more attention brought to this issue the better. AT&T needs to be held accountable!
