locked out of bellsouth.com email

I am locked out of email. THe security questions don't accept my answers (think it's been hacked). No option to reset password with email or phone. No help at ATT. Anyone have suggestions?

Hey @perryjean96 , we know just how important it is to stay connected to your email mailbox, and we are more than happy to walk through some options that may be available for you. 

We recommend resetting your email password to resync your email and to ensure your account stays secure.

 

You can reset your email password by following these steps:

  1. Go to your Sign-in info.
  2. Select Change password.
  3. Enter and save your password info.

If you are receiving an error code when you attempt the password resets, please let us know.

I have been trying for several days to reset the password weeks unsuccessfully. Please  see messages below. The answers to my security questions are not accepted and I can find no other way to reset. Please advise.

For security purposes, your other delivery method is locked for 24 hours. You can still reset your password by answering your security questions.

Hello @perryjean96. We understand how important it is to keep your mailbox secure, especially considering you rely on it for school and work.

 

The 205 error code is designed to protect your mailbox from hackers and suspicious log in attempts.

 

AT&T Security is investigating this and blocking IP addresses of those bad actors who make these login attempts. In addition, our internet teams are aware of the problem and working quickly to resolve it.

 

Note: For the error code 205.2  you'll have to wait a full  24 hours before resetting your password. Attempting to sign in before the full 24 hours will reset the 24-hour timer.

Hi I am locked out again. Please help with password reset instructions when my security questions don't work. All my other accounts send reset into to my phone.
