Locked out of account since Monday, old Att.net email address error 203.2 [FL 001]

Hello, I am experiencing issues like many others here with a 20 year old Att.net email account. I was spontaneously signed out on my iPhone with the 203.2 error code. I have contacted the (800) 288-2020 phone number and have already filed the online form and it has exceeded 72 hours. I need a customer service agent to help restore access my account, I have all account information available to prove ownership. Thank you and I hope this issue can be resolved shortly.

Same! Spontaneously no longer updating since Tuesday! Tech support phone calls are either bots and message recordings requiring the information that does not work or technicians referring me to the link tools that require the information I do not have due to the former security phone no longer in service and the reset pw not working! Old old email account! Please help help help! They cannot hold my email account hostage to a non working number!!

I am having the same issue... I have been calling the last 4 days and I was told several different lies....I was told to fill out a form and a person from the advanced AT&T support team will call me back plus the other half million.. HOW?  I asked how long I was told 24-48 hours, then 72 hours, then 1-2 weeks..I know like many of ya'll I cannot go weeks without my email. I was even told that my name wasn't on my account. I said I just got the phone with 2 other agents and they said it was. My phone number was never saved as told by the agent on Tuesday. Oh, I was also told by an agent that she had no knowledge of a breach. I said so the other 8 ppl I spoke to have been lying to me... It's all over the internet.... I need/want my email unlocked, they should have better security. I was also told to get a gmail account because they are un-hackable. WOW!!!!! FIX THIS!!!

Have you tried resetting your password? We always recommend this as a first step since it re-syncs your email in our system and can alleviate a host of issues such as the one you're experiencing.

 

Give it a try with these steps:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Let us know if the steps helps1 If not, we may need to bring you into a direct message to look into this further.

I would like for AT&T to be honest with us and just tell us if we are ever getting back into our email accounts and if so when and if not, well. This would be helpful if we know what to do next. I just can't wait a few weeks, months or even years to get back up and running. They should've had a better security protocol than the one they have in place. Wait do they have something in place that would help us just reset our passwords without having to wait on a call from the DAC? Nope, my bad..... Question: was anyone else told that it takes 30 days for your phone number to age before it will be added to your account and you can use it to unlock your email? I promise if you call AT&T say 4 times back to back, you will get 4 different people and 4 different answers. Don't believe me just try! Well, until tomorrow, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and so on! Let's stay strong sbcglobal fighters. It's going to be a journey we will never forget.....

Same issue as the others. Last sbcglobal.net email received Monday evening, now getting the same account error. I know my security recovery answer, and when I enter the correctly into the recovery page, it just goes gray and sits there (I don't get an option for a temporary password). When I intentionally enter the recovery answers wrong, I get a warning. Tried filling out the form for mymailnfo, and no response. This is ridiculous.

This has happened to me and my husband this past week. Getting the complete runaround and have so much attached to our emails. This is so unacceptable and should be on the news for the amount of people this is happening to. We called and were told over 450,000 impacted with this issue. IT SO WRONG!
