Keeps telling me too many unsuccessful logins - even with new pw

It seems I'm unable to ever log into either MyAT&T or mail.yahoo.com with my AT&T email address.  Regardless of how many times I reset the password, I am getting the "Looks like you've tried to sign in unsuccessfully too many times.  Recover your ID or reset your password to continue".  This happens on ANY of my PC's, regardless of browser.  I do not like to manage my account or make payments using my iPhone app (where I can somehow still log in).  I want to be able to log in easily from a PC.  Please advise.  Also, every time I reset my password, I then need to change settings on my Outlook email clients, again on multiple PC's and tablets.  That's a lot of work and a lot of risk for more errors!  THANK YOU.

When you reset the password, just put in the one you are currently using.  That appears to satisfy the system and will keep you from having to change all of the other devices.

Setting the 'new' password the same as the old worked for the AT&T login, but my yahoo mail client on my iPhone sensed something different and required me to re-enter the password.  Not too bad since I only have 1 IOS device.

Almost as if on cue, I just got the error message for attempting to log in with incorrect password too many times.  And I haven't tried to log in via web since the LAST time I changed my p/w, about 2 weeks ago!!  This is annoying and unacceptable!!

This keeps happening - every 4-5 days. And sometimes it's when I try to log in to the Yahoo webmail, sometimes when I try to manage my ATT.NET account (usually when I try to pay my bill).  That login screen tells me "too many unsuccessful logins, recover password".  I keep putting in the same p/w when asked for a new one, and that works for webmail and ATT account management, but NOT for retrieving email on my IOS devices (or any mail client that still uses the password and NOT the ATT 'mail key').  On these devices, I have to go into settings, and re-type the password.  There's something still not fully in sync between ATT and yahoo, and even more out of sync between yahoo mail and how things land in the Outlook365 mail client!
