Has AT&T email system been hacked again?

Received email from AT&T -Yahoo Mail with message that "Starting 19th of Apr. 2023, AT&T customers will no longer be able to log in to their email and AT&T billing accounts through email address with following domains.  Customers will have to verify their email address to confirm if they have been allocated a different domain or not.   After doing as instructed I have no access (laptop). In fact it automatically logs you out, not login.  I spent an hour last July getting my laptop re-connected.

We're here to assist with your email, @jmarvin!

It sounds like that could possibly have been a phishing attempt to steal login information.

To report any suspicious emails you can perform one of these three options:

Along with that, we recommend checking to ensure that your recovery options are up-to-date. This will help secure your email from any malicious users. You can find steps to update both your recovery email and wireless number in the aforementioned links.

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!

I had the same issue this morning,  woke up and my iPhone app had signed me out of my email and I couldn't sign back in.  Tried it on the desktop and couldn't get it to work with the recovery.  Gave me the same code:

CARE CODE: 203.2 [FL001]

I tried calling several numbers and no one could help.

Then I called 877-844-5584 and got ahold of a human,  gave them my last name,  gave them every zip code that I could think of ever having in the past 15 years and one of them worked,  gave them the last 4 of my cell number which they happen to have on file,  they sent me a 1 time code to use in the password field when logging in on the desktop,  it worked!  I changed the password, changed my recovery email to a different one incase this happens again and it's been working ever since on the desktop and the iPhone.  Try it and reply back here if it went through for you. Good luck!
