Hard locked out of sub email account & getting runaround from ATT to get password change
When we initially got our ATT internet service many years ago through SBC Global, I created several sub Yahoo email accounts. Someone must have tried to break into one of them and now I am hard locked out of it. I keep getting run around in circles trying to get a password change to allow me back into it. (I have the original password but it won't let me use it.) I've gone to the User ID ATT account (under my wife) but find nothing there about getting into the subordinate email addresses. This is very frustrating. I can get into a different subordinate email address.

I finally got this response through direct messaging:
Hey there! I was able to get a response from our email specialists, and from what they found it looks like you'll need to speak with our Digital Assistance Center to get further help with this request. You can contact them by calling customer service at 1(800)288-2020 and then requesting a representative transfer you over.
Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, and thanks for reaching out on the AT&T Community Forums!
Needles to say, that didn't work. When they went to transfer me, I got bounced out of the system. AT&T customer service is TERRIBLE.

🙄 As I was reading your last comment I was getting my hopes up that someone, anyone at AT&T had an answer. Then I read your last paragraph.
Stoopid, stoopid, Tony, shoulda known.

tonydi, After I posted that, I tried calling again and DID finally get through to a human being who could help me and did get me back into my email account. So it IS possible!
Thanks, after too much trying, to AT&T for solving the problem.

Well now who is overly optimistic? 😁
Sorry, after that brief moment of hope my normally cynical side (which oddly only surfaces with AT&T-related things) has returned to tell you that you should have ended that last sentence with .....for now.
