Email error messages

Keep losing connectivity to my email server due to a dropping of my password.  Even though I have not tried any entries it tells me that I have expired my log-in attempts and will have to use a different ID or Password.  Now in both my phone and my computer I am locked out for 24 hours and even after 20 hours I cannot get in
