Care Code: 205.61 when trying to log in to sbcglobal.net email account

I'm trying to log in to an sbcglobal.net account on a PC but I get, "Let's try that again. It looks like you entered the ID you use to sign in to DIRECTV... Care Code: 205.61." I cancelled my DIRECTV account almost 2 years ago so there hasn't been a DIRECTV account associated with this email since then. This has been going on for several weeks now. Please help.

We can help with that, @MFullerSmith!

The 205 error code you're seeing is essentially due to bad actors who have been trying to access AT&T email accounts. We're aware that this is happening, and are currently working toward a resolution. Learn more about the dreaded 205 error code and what we're doing to fix it.

In the meantime, we recommend following the troubleshooting options below:

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies to remove any stored password information. Be sure to close and then re-open your browser after this step.

2.Reset your password using the Forgot password option.

Let us know if you need help with anything else. Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!

I cleared all my browser's cache and cookies. I then reset my password. After resetting my password it said I'm all done and then tries to redirect me but I get an error saying it can't connect to the internet. I know there is nothing wrong with my internet and I tried this on multiple computers and got the same results. I reset the password on another account and when it redirected me it worked fine.
