I am trying to login to an email address and cannot. The error code is CARE CODE: 205.2 [LU003]. Can I speak to anyone on the phone regarding this matter?

Here to help you regain access to your email account, @scarroll.
If you're getting a care code error when signing in to your email, we recommend that you wait 24 hours. Then try resetting your email password to regain access. You can reset your email password by following these steps:
In the meantime, you can take a look at this reference regarding care code 205.2.
Please reach back out if have any additional questions or concerns.

ATT: This has been going on for over 2 1/2 years. When will it be fixed? Please, on behalf of all of us, escalate to the appropriate level. And, be more transparent, in the meantime. Check the # of hits you get with a search on: Care Code 205.2 [LU003]. Then consider that each one may contain multiple users with the same problem.
For starters, please stop giving the same boilerplate ATT responses that usually do not fix. Waiting 24 or 72 hours, or more (at significant inconvenience), often accomplishes nothing, except more time wasted. Clearing browser history and cookies is not a trivial step. This can be a significant inconvenience for many. It often accomplishes nothing.
Users get Care Code 205.2 [LU003] even when they enter the correct password and they have not had any failed login attempts. I have even had a long support call, did a Manual Resync, and it still happens. This is an ATT system bug and not the user's fault.

Temp solution that works best - Don't wait 24 hrs. Just click on Forgot password and then reset the PW to the same one you knew was correct all along. Use Security Questions to save time. Still a pain, but at least you're not having to create a new PW every time.
If this doesn't work, or you're completely locked out, it's best to call. You may need a Manual Resync. There are prompts and hold times to wade through, but it can be faster in the long run.

Tried that and it didn't work. Does anyone know the phone number? I do not have an AT&T phone since they discontinued service in our area and had to switch. Just never switched my email. Thanks

immcc Try main support# first, 800.288.2020. keep insisting you need to talk to a representative. Once you reach the right area, ask if there is a more direct # for use in the future. (They may just say to always use main #.)

At deknutson I completely agree with you, the forum is no help, only the members on this matter. I had the same error twice in the past, and I know for a fact it is a glitch in ATT system as a tech told me so. The solution is ATT has to manually resync the account and it worked both times for me and quickly. I know there is a number to call, I found it in the forum a while back from one of the members.
Unfortunately I did not save and can't find it now. Maybe someone here can help.
