Cannot update password for Yahoo mail ( iPhone 6) Error message Somethings gone wrong

Hey @RT33! Let's get to the bottom of what is happening to both the email on your iPhone 6 and on our yahoo web mail.

To best help you, we may need a bit more information. Please let us know:

• Where exactly where you updating your password? When you update your AT&T login information, so long as the account is linked, all associated accounts will have their passwords updated as well. For both your Yahoo mail and mobile mail app, you should only need to update your password once. 
• If this is the 'iPhone 6' or 'iPhone 6 Plus'. Their specs are awfully similar but it may be important for us to know in the future
• When you are logging into Yahoo mail are you logging in via Currently? This is the service we are best able to support. 
• And if you are seeing any error codes or 'Care Codes'. At this time, we are aware of a trend where Care Code 205.3 [LU003] is appearing when it shouldn't and we are working to find a permanent fix. Right now the workaround is to reset your password to resync your email account. After doing so, if you were previously locked out, you may need to wait 24 hours in order to ensure that your mobile app is able to sync so that you do not get locked out again.

Please let us know! In the meantime, we would also like to suggest the following:

• Double check your email is set up correctly on your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus using our Device Support Tool.
• Check your webmail filters in Yahoo to address what you are seeing with the amount of spam messages you mentioned recieving. If you recieve any particularly concerning emails, you can always forward it to us at abuse@att.net and we can take a look at preventing further messages from that sender.
• For general assistance with email services, we recommend checking out our official forums post on email troubleshooting.

Hello Wesley,

Changed my password on the AT&T site on my pc. When I went to reenter it on my cellphone, I got the message 'Something's gone wrong let's try this again. It is an iPhone 6

Logging in via "currently" not sure what you mean. I click the highlighted word currently in your message and its page not found. I am not seeing any error codes.

I was able to set up Yahoo mail in safari through AT&T device support. on the mail app I cannot add a yahoo mail account. The Safari work around will have to do.

Well, this morning the Safari work around to Yahoo no longer lets me into my mail. I pull up safari, type in Yahoo click sign in and get the same message " somethings gone wrong" Gmail works fine. Email works fine as long as I send from Gmail. Yahoo mail works fine for outgoing on PC and if I send a test email from Gmail to Yahoo mail that works also. but I am getting no other incoming emails to my Yahoo. Is the iPhone 6 just outdated, I cannot add the Yahoo site from the apps icon as it requires iOS 13 or later. I have tried everything found in searching for help.

At this point, we suggest contacting Yahoo! or Apple support to see if there's a way for you to use Yahoo! Mail on your iPhone 6. The fact that the app states that the oldest iOS version it will run on is 13.0, leads us to believe that you won't be able to use Yahoo! Mail on your iPhone.
