Cannot access Sbcglobal Email account online

I used to be able to access my Sbcglobal email account through Yahoo/ATT until recently.  The email address is linked with my AT&T account, I have a Usercode, etc, but still cannot login online.  I can access on phone app, but need to access online to deal with all the spam emails that I have been receiving in the last month.

We can help you login to your Sbcglobal email again, @JH67. We understand the importance of clearing out your spam email.

 

Firstly, we recommend that you do a password reset for your email by using the forgot password option.

 

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Lastly, once you have completed the password reset for your email, Login to your email using Currently from AT&T/Yahoo.

 

You can update your security questions and answers. This keeps your information updated in case you forget your password.

 

You can set up text messages for password resets. Follow the steps to get a text with your temporary password next time.

 

Let us know if this helped you reset your password and sign in.

Same problem here. ATT Support says that it is a known problem and we will just have to wait. Can't even change  my password. They have everything all jacked up and once they fix it, it will happen again to two weeks

Great!  Because I must be getting targeted every day.  It does not matter when I go in to try to change my password, I still get this error message.  24 hours from what?  The first attempt to change the password?  I have cleared my cookies, etc... and I still get this message.

You'll have to wait a full 24 hours after your last password reset before trying to sign in again. Attempting to sign in before the full 24 hours will reset the 24-hour timer.

 

You'll likely continue to get the care code until we fully resolved this. Rest assured that we're working hard to do just that! In the meantime, please continue to access your email on your phone.

Thank you.  I usually wait several days before trying again.  Once this is resolved, will this also take care of most fo the spam that is getting through?  I have never had this much spam email before.

Same problem. Started yesterday. Can’t sign In to my sbcglobal mail on any device. Can’t reset the password because it says “they can’t get the account details they need right now” gave a number to call. Called the number and the lady had no idea what I was talking about or how to help. 

i tried to sign in using the yahoo mail app, the new att mail site etc. all have the same error. 

Something like you have reached your sign in limit and you will need to reset your password. Then it won’t let me reset my password 🤯
