Blocked emails from Yahoo since March 18, 2023

There has been a significant issue with AT&T's e-mail account authentication database.  They've kept the exact situation close to the vest, but rumor has it that:

• some current account records were lost (but the e-mails are still around, but can't be accessed to there not being an account... they may have had an old backup of the accounts, but with unusable password information)
• some account information (username, password) were obtained by an outside party
• some nefarious individuals have been able to access an API and change account information and issue Secure Mail Keys

As such, they have some really significant problems knowing who should have access to some number of accounts. [Not all accounts are affected, but the number is more than zero.]  They can't trust the passwords.  They can't trust the security questions, etc.  So they've taken to snail mailing confirmation information in some cases.  They're trying to gather phone numbers to send MFA codes to in the future for most accounts.

Eventually we keep hoping they'll turn the corner and things will start getting better.

This just happened to my yahoo account of 20+ years also.   How unbelievable.

Tridovthis......I had success getting into my email via another browser and my phone app.   Try that for now.

I am having the same problem with my snet.net account.

clebowitz:  Can you elaborate on how you were able to get into your email?  I tried https://currently.att.yahoo.com/ and https://my.yahoo.com/ using both Chrome and Edge and I don't see any new emails since 5/18.  I also installed the myATT app and tried that, but I could not log in (error code 201 I think it was).

Tridovthis:  Who did you call about this?  I cannot even find a contact number on the AT&T web site.  Pitiful!

Check Currently to see if your emails appear there. It's the official platform for AT&T mail. You'll also want to check the server settings for Outlook and make sure you're on the POP3 server. You can check the settings with our guide on setting up/updating AT&T email.

ATT Help- Can you help me?  I have had an sbcglobal.net email for 20 years and as of yesterday - started having email trouble and sign in trouble and talked to several people at ATT and they are telling me 'my email does not exist'!  Saying it's because Uni sync is not able to authenticate me, they can't help me.  Asked to be escalated...no help.  I can get emails still on my iPhone but cannot get emails to come into outlook or sign in to the Currently/Yahoo page - 

Any help is appreciated!
