AT&T Sign-In does not recognize my email or username. UNABLE TO LOG IN

After getting booted off my Yahoo app and unable to log-in to my AT@T email account, Yahoo Customer Support confirmed that they can see that my account still exists. I use this account every single day. I was locked out today, August 6th. I am unable to speak with anyone from AT@T to retrieve my personal @att.net email account.

Hey @jasantos, let's take a look at your email together.

Are you getting any error codes? These can help narrow down the exact cause of the issue you're experiencing.

In the meantime, we suggest resetting your password.

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Looks like you’ve tried to sign in unsuccessfully too many times. Recover your ID or reset your password to continue.
CARE CODE: 205.2 [LU003]
You realize I can't reset my password because the Log-In does not recognize my account AND that I have no access to my email which I am trying to recover. Attempting to even recover my username, it does not recognize the inputs that I fill in. The password info that I enter is not valid. I need to speak with someone directly. This is not a password or username issue. It is strictly a total account complication. I have had this account for over 17 years.
DO NOT tell me to wait 72 hours to try again because I have already seen other posts in the forums where individuals have waited months for no update or access to their account.

Hey @jasantos , we understand how frustrating it is to not have access to your email.

The 205 error code you're seeing is essentially due to bad actors who have been trying to access AT&T email accounts. We're aware this is happening, and are currently working towards a resolution. Learn more about the 205 error code and what we're doing to fix it.

In the meantime, we recommend following these troubleshooting steps:

Clear your browser's cache and cookies to remove any stored password information. Be sure to close and re-open your browser after doing so.

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
  3. Select the items you want to clear.
  4. Select the Delete, OK, Clear, or Clear data button, depending on your browser type.
  5. Close and reopen your browser.

Reset your password using the Forgot password option.

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you for the update Tyler.

I will wait for CS support to resolve the issue with my account. It is priority as this is an important personal email account for me.

Just to set your expectations at the proper level, @jasantos, AT&T has been "working to resolve" this issue for two months.  If what they're saying about the cause is true and the whole story then this should have been a trivial matter to correct.

@tonydi  I know you are right. It’s funny feeling confident that AT&T might ruin my life just like they did to others with the same issue.

Thanks for allowing my voice to be heard

I’m having that issue. I started digging into it and I saw a post from 11 months ago that said “Please keep in mind that we are unable to assist with manually resetting passwords at this time. We appreciate your patience as our engineers continue to look into the matter.” I’m losing hope.
