Webmail error: "Message cannot be saved as Draft"
After composing an email, I'm often seeing that the message is "stuck" in the DRAFT folder with an error at the top of the screen that says:
Needless to say, when this occurs, I can not send that email. The email has nothing fancy in it, no attachments, etc... just TEXT.
(Edited per community guidelines) is going on with AT&T/Yahoo email?!?
I've never had so many problems as I've had in the last 2-3 month's!
Is this a tactic being used to get me to upgrade to the PAID version?

Hello Community,
If you are having the issue mentioned above, please comment with what you are seeing. Please include any error messages, and what browser you are using. We'll probably engage you via a Direct Message so we can investigate this and find a resolution.
Thanks

The paid Yahoo Mail + runs on exactly the same infrastructure as the free version, they simply enable the extra features.
So you get the added benefit of the extra features and don't lose any of the other "features" like daily password changes, tons of spam in your Inbox, getting logged out in the middle of composing an email and yes, Drafts that are totally useless.
Quite the bargain, no? 🙄

Thanks for the upfront honest answer regarding the paid version of Yahoo. They make the extra features look so good. Glad you told us it's just an updated version of Yahooey!

This is complete utter bull (Edited per community guidelines) and I'm sorry that I'm so upset right now. I wasted an hour and a half writing an email that was going to be used for a presentation that I and one other colleague will be doing tonight and it was all the detail him and I needed. I completely lost it as Yahoo decides to do an awful thing and should be ashamed of themselves.
I can see not allowing the messaging to be sent, but hold it up in the drafts or transfer it to the trash folder, but completely gone. That is unacceptable and disgraceful. In fact, because this is a second time occurence for me, I'm done with Yahoo. I will be using my Gmail solely. (Edited per community guidelines)

I am having this same message when I attach a PDF file to a mail message. It doesn't happen all the time but more frequently every day. It attaches the document with a big red ! on it but the file is not there.
I have to resort to retyping the email in gmail to send it. I have cleared cookies and cache. I use Google as a browser and I am on Windows 11.
Help please Diane

To all those who've replied or commented on this thread...
It's become obvious to me that AT&T/Yahoo doesn't give a tinkers (Edited per community guidelines) about fixing this.
I've stopped using this webmail email client and have migrated (all) my account(s) to Outlook 2016, which was part of the Office 2016 I already owned.
One BIG advantage in doing this is that ALL the personal folders you create for archival of email messages are on your local hard drive, not on Yahooey's servers.
The con, of course, is that they are on your local drive, and not easily accessible from anywhere else, or, can be lost if your hard drive fails.
But, THAT's what Backups are for.
I will not be following this thread any longer.

This started happening to me after I opened an email that required an electronic signature and that I permit cookies before signing. I deleted my cookies and the problem went away.

I hate to tell you this, but I think you just "lucked out" and hit the email when "it" felt like being cooperative! 🎰 As I stated in a previous post, I found no solution to this problem. I just messed around and wasted ⌚ until I discovered my email 📧 had miraculously been sent. Lately I have had no issues, but unfortunately, I can't explain why??????????
