some of my inbox emails are encrypted and others are fine

Some of my SBCGlobal.net email notices are coming to me encripted, while others are not.  I do not know how it correct this issue. All the help tabs tell me to find account settings to fix, but those options are not available on my settings.  I have AT&T internet.

We're here to assist with your encrypted emails, @381j!

First, can you let us know what Browser/program you are using to access your email? This way we can provide the proper troubleshooting steps for the method you are using.

Also, just for clarification the notifications you receive are showing as encrypted or the emails themselves?

We look forward to hearing from you!

Are they actually encrypted and have some sort of header that mentions encryption, like this?

Or are they just a bunch of geek-speak like the ones posted in THIS thread?  If this is what they look like then it's a problem that just began on Yahoo Mail this past week.  The reports here mention seeing these on mail downloaded by email clients and not when accessing the Yahoo Mail website with a browser.
So how do you access your email?

I open my computer on the MSN Outlook page, then I go to my emails.  This is what I see on some of them, this one was from Bed,Bath and Beyond. I only copied part of it.

Thank you for that information, @381j!

We recommend that you view this Microsoft article that covers garbled emails.

After viewing the email, if you are still experiencing the emails displaying this way, let us know! We have a few more things we can try.

The site recommended using an update 2645995, it was not in the selection screen.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:

2645995 Description of Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2

This issue is not present on my AT&T cell phone, it works, no weird stuff.

Thank you for the update, @381j!

Let's have you access our Currently site to see if the emails display garbled as well.

If they still display that way, be on the look out for a DM from us in the upper portion of the page. This way we can take a deeper look into your email to see if we can find the issue.

We look forward to hearing from you!

@381j   Ok, that's not encrypted email, it's an email that's got some sort of issue in the formatting.  Completely ignore ATTHelp CalebP's link to that Microsoft article.  For reasons known only to him, he keeps posting it even though it's about a server side issue (for server admins, not end users) that hasn't existed for years and is definitely not involved.

I'm confused, though.  You said you go to the MSN Outlook page and "go to my emails".  The MSN Outlook page is for emails to outlook.com or msn.com or a few other Microsoft email accounts, not sbcglobal.net email.  When you're in your email Inbox, what is the URL address showing in the browser?

I can't really tell from that snippet of code what's wrong.  It mentions some screen scaling (DPI) settings but to me it just looks like the sender's email is corrupted in a way that makes it not display properly.  I know BB&B sends a ton of emails, do they all appear this way to you?

I signed into the currently app.  But it did not transfer my emails from my SBCGlobal.net account.  It would not let me select that domain, only currently or ATT

I'm not sure what you mean there.

Again, when you're in your email Inbox, what is the URL address showing in the browser?

I included that picture in my last post to show where the info is.

What browser are you using?

I have no idea how to answer properly, I open my computer in the MSN app.  When I go to the start menu, I select email, all that appears is Inbox-SBCglobal.net  If it is a formatting issue, can I fix that??

Wow, I don't know exactly what sort of setup you have there.  Except for many years ago, I don't think there's a MSN app for computers any more.

How old is your computer?

Regardless, if the email is not formatted correctly that's on the sender's side, not anything you can control.

Definitely try what ATTHelp CalebP suggested.  Open a web browser and go to www.currently.com and enter your login info for your sbcglobal account.  Open that same BB&B email and see if it's corrupted there too.

That looks to be a different issue, one that other sbcglobal users are reporting.

There's no known fix for this problem at this time.
