Not Receiving some e=mails

As on Monday, 27 March I have stopped receiving e-mails from Game Officials (Soccer Ref Scheduling Program) (GameOfficials.net).  Have contacted Game officials and their system is working correctly.  I can receive e-mails from them to an alternate e-mail address.  Can not longer received e-mail on my home/main account ([email scrubbed]).  I can receive e-mail via my phone (text), iPhone (via my gmail account ([email scrubbed]).   I talk to an ATT support person and all my setting are correct.  Did a recovery of e-mail since 24 to 28 March and  the e-mails that I should have received from game official did not show up.   Not sure why the e-mails from Game Officials are not be send to my ATT account.    Please advice as to what I need to do to continue to be able to receive Game Official e-mail to my main account ([email scrubbed]).

Thanks

Hi there, ccbrady. Thanks for letting us know that you are not getting your notices from Game Officials. We can look at that together.

Since you are able to receive them on an alternate email address, but not on your AT&T/Yahoo email address, we can look at this deeper.

We are going to open with conversation to by asking a few questions.

  1. What are you checking your AT&T/Yahoo Mail with? The reason why we need to know that is, so we can formulate a troubleshooting plan of action.
  2. Have you checked your spam and or junk folders to see if the emails have landed in there? Sometimes legit emails can go into the spam and junk folders. This can be caused by the AT&T/Yahoo spam filters.
  3. Are you receiving emails from others? This might be caused by an email address being blocked.

For further troubleshooting, please consult our Resolve Email Issues support article. This article can and will resolve most common email concerns. As well as provide troubleshooting and settings assisitance, when it comes to AT&T/Yahoo email.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

1.  I am using my Apple Mac computer to check my home e-mails.  As of 27 March I stopped receiving emails to my home account ([email scrubbed]) from Game Officials (GameOfficials.net).  I have contacted game official and they said the problem is not on their end.   I game them an alternate e-mail address  ([email scrubbed]) which I can check on my phone and iPad.   I can receive email to the gmail account and text message on my cell phone. Previous ATT tech did a lot of checking on setting.  He suggest I request a recovery of e-mail.  Did that and their were not e-mail from game officials.

2.  No game officials email found in spam/junk or trash folders.

3. Yes, can receive e-mail from other to include Arbiter which is another soccer referee scheduling program.

4.  Could game official program sudden have issue sending e-mail to att.net accounts?  Will be asking   game official rep that question.   Could att system have challenge receiveing e-mail from a .net account

Need this resolved and not sure were the problem is.  On the sender end or the receivers end.

Phone number is 210 264 8141

Thanks

Chuck Brady

Thanks for sharing that information with us, @ccbrady

Just to confirm, are you checking your email through an email client such as Outlook, or are you checking it through Currently. This is to confirm if there are any settings that we'll need to change that could be preventing you from receiving emails from the specific email address.

We'd also suggest adding the email address to your contact list. This can help to make sure that your email account knows that email address, and so it knows to receive emails from it:

From AT&T Mail

  1. Select Contacts .
  2. Choose +Add a new contact.
  3. Enter the details and select Save.

To save a contact from an open email, select + Add to contacts.

From basic mail

  1. Select Contacts.
  2. Choose Add Contact.
  3. Enter the details and select Save.

We'd have no way of knowing if the game official program has issues with sending emails to our http://sm.att.com/6562a40 account, but you should be receiving them unless that program has been sending spam emails then it could be marked as spam. However it's not in your spam or your junk folder, so we're doubtful that that's the issue.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi, @ccbrady, we'd like to take a closer look into this.

We would like to look into re-syncing your email with your account.  To do this, we'll need to speak in private.  We'll be sending you a Direct Message shortly.  There will be a notification in the upper right corner shortly letting you know that we've sent a message.

Look forward to speaking with you.

There are two basic possibilities:

1) The sender is getting blocked from sending any e-mail to recipients with AT&T e-mail addresses.  In this case the sender should be getting a rejection message and act appropriately.  There's absolutely nothing you can do here other than contact the sender again and ask are they SURE they're not having issues with other AT&T recipients?

2) The e-mail is getting accepted through the AT&T RBL, but somehow runs afoul of Yahoo!'s spam filtering rules.  Yahoo has two basic levels, one that gets the e-mails canned completely, and another that will divert them to your spam folder.  Having the sender in your contact list I think may avoid the diversion to your spam folder but will have no affect whatsoever if Yahoo decides to can it completely.  There's really nothing for you to do here, either, because this spam filtering is based on the sender's reputation and the content screening.

Thanks for the information.  Will be contact the sender again and have him check if my e-mail is being rejected.

Since this is a very popular app that schedule official for game and used by a lot of association across the US don't thing the content or reputation is a issues.

Do appreciated you insight in what could be the problem.

Thanks

Chuck Brady
