Hi there, stargate15. We understand that your email is not syncing when you delete the email from one device to another. We can help you with that.
Let's look at how you are deleting the emails between the devices.
Speaking of the PC let's pose the same question of that device.
If the email is still not deleting after that, then concern lies with the webmail itself. Since the webmail is browser based, we do recommend clearing the cache and cookies and browsing data in the browser. The reason why we would like for you to do this is because there could be some bad or cupport data in your browser.
Please let us know if this works for you.

Thank you for the reply;
On the i pad I am using the "envelop". I checked the settings and I do not see an option to " keep e mails on server". I see the following options that are checked:
"Move discarded messages into deleted mail box."
"On Server" are the following archieve, drafts, sent, and trash.
Also checked is "move discarded messages into deleted mail box".
On the PC: I am using Google to access at&t mail.
Does that help explain my settings? I have only had this problem recently and had not knowingly changed any settings.

Hi, stargate15.
Make sure your email is set up on the IMAP server, so that your email is synced across devices. We have a guide on our website for setting up and updating AT&T email. Just select the mail client you're using on your iPad from the drop-down menu for the appropriate steps.
We also recommend reading our article that covers AT&T email server settings to make sure you use the right server and port settings to access your email.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

Did you update your settings, stargate15? If so, check to see if your mailboxes are the same on your iPad and PC, and keep us posted.

I do not feel I am making progress on this issue.
My PC att mail settings are as follows:
In: IMP.mail.yahoo.com 993:1
out: smtp.mail.yahoo. com 465:1
I do not think I am using an email client on the PC but maybe I am. I open my e-mail my going thru google not thru a windows app if i understand the process.
Again I have not changed any settings before this proble arose.
I did try one change and on the ipad I have trash stored on the ipad instead of the server but I think that would not be correct if I an trying to sync the ipad and the pc??
Still need your help.

Since you're using webmail and not an app, follow the steps below from our Login and Email Solutions guide to troubleshoot, stargate15.
Update your browser - many features are only compatible with the latest browser, and we recommend updating it
Test signing in to your webmail using another browser
Disable browser tools or add-ons - varies by device and browser
Disable your firewall - varies by device and browser
Keep us posted.

Here is some more info
I have a PC and two Ipads
I checked the e-mail settings on both Ipads and they are the same as far as I can tell.
One ipad syncs with the pc and with the other ipad. However the newer I pad syncs with neither. That is the issue
The newer Ipad has an up to date operating system whereas the older one no longer gets up dates.
When I delete an email on the PC it is also deleted on both Ipads.
Does that help in understanding the problem.

Thanks for sharing that information with us, @stargate15.
On your iPad since, you're clicking on the "envelope" this would indicate that you're using Apple Mail to check your emails. Please make sure that the correct settings are configured for Apple Mail. Also, please let us know how many days in between that you've deleted your emails on your iPad and they still stay on your PC. It's possible that it's just taking a few days for them to delete on one device after it's been deleted on another one.
Please also try checking your email through Currently, on the two iPads and PC then let us know if the deleted messages still aren't syncing between the two devices.
Let us know if this helps.

what I see is somewhat different then what is described in the link.
outgoing mail says only Yahoo!STMP server (same on both ipads) . on the newer problematic i pad other STMP servers are listed including one that says "outbound.att.net " If I choose that it allows me to turn it on and asked for a PW,. If I should turn that on is that my email PW that i currently use for att.
also off are the following secondary STMP servers, all off now: SMTP.att.yahoo.com and smpt.mail.yahoo.com
The stmp server currently selected does not allow me to enter a pppw and says authentication is OAuth 2.0 token and port 465
Anything there that helps?
