Getting spam at att.net

@vjt29   I agree.  I was just wondering where you got the idea that paying them $5/mo was going to get you something to filter the junk emails. It doesn't.

Because of spam, I would guess att email is likely a secondary email address versus a primary one.  At least that’s how it is for me.  I use an email client (Outlook 2021) to download my att email but since it is now a secondary account I just deleted the att email address from my Outlook email client.  Spam is no longer downloaded but stays on the server (in my inbox) until I decided to look at it via webmail.  SPAM is easily identified.  Then I can easily check each one that is SPAM and send it to the SPAM mail folder.  Takes less than a minute.

Don’t waste time with filters and blocking.  Check your webmail once or twice a day and move on.  The SPAMMER will realize sooner or later they are good at spamming (programming) but getting no results from it!

@dellray   What?  Perhaps you should read a bit more closely before making a ignorant statement like that.  I'm the most anti-Yahoo Mail person posting on this forum.  Look at my comment history.  Look at how many times I've told people not to pay Yahoo for the "plus" service because the only affect that will have is $5 less money in your pocket.  Look at home many times I've posted the procedure for switching to Gmail before people get locked out.

@tonydi Search out your comment history? When you make a list like that, you need to put a header above it because, personally, will not read the list, only see that it is present because I don't care what yahoo has to offer. I see a lot of lists all over the internet and I only read the ones that I look up and yahoo doesn't fit that bill.

@dellray   So you see the list but somehow missed the individual comments I made disputing the value of most of those?    And you missed the comments that I've made directly to YOU in this thread and other threads, none of which could be confused as "Yahoo sales"? 🙄

It's obvious the spam filters have stopped working

@robotwizard Agreed. I've received many 'mcafee' spams with 'last reminder' in the subject. So I created a filter for 'last reminder' in subject field. Since then, I've received several more 'last reminder' emails. 

Until Yahoo Mail one, gives a **** and two, hires engineers that can actually want to do something about it, and can, nothing will change for the immediate future.

Spam has increased significantly on sbcglobal.net.  Now it will not let me block an address.  This is getting tiring.  

Heavy spam at sbcglobal.net.  Repeated sends to junk do not work.  Now I cannot block addresses.  This is really getting tiring.  One of my associations blocked my SBC server for too many spams emails.  They had to issue an override to let me in. Att needs to figure this out.  I have tried all their ideas.  

I'm having the same problem. Did anyone ever find a solution?

No solution. Not a single spam email gets filtered out anymore. The spam filter used to work great and it was rare that spam would make it into the inbox
