We're here to help get your emails displaying correctly again, @Willrod45!
Are you accessing your email via Currently? The reason we ask this is that it's our official email webpage.
Along with that, have you cleared your browser's cache and cookies? This can clear any browser settings that are causing the mail to be displayed in this way. You can sue the link provided to find the steps for your respective browser/device.
Lastly, does this happen with just one sender or multiple? Also, what about on different devices? This can help us find out if it's just a device issue or something more widespread.
Let us know so we can assist further!

I would join with CalebP in asking how are you reading your e-mail? What you're showing is HTML markup which does appear to have some encoding errors.

So you're using the Windows Mail app to read your e-mail?
If you take your web browser to https://currently.com and click on the mail icon in the upper right corner and log in, does your e-mail appear correct then?

Okay, then AT&T doesn't technically provide any support for reading e-mails any way other than via the webmail interface in Currently. So you can ask Microsoft, but AT&T is satisfied that your e-mail works if Currently works.
When I set up Windows [10] Mail with my AT&T e-mail account, I got one message that showed up strange with two display entries: a text header followed by an option to download the content... that never worked, and the properly formatted rich-text form. The other mails only showed the properly formatted form. I don't see any options you can take to control how the content is formatted or retrieved in the Windows 10 Mail client.

But it’s only on my laptop that this is happening, tablet works fine, phone works fine. So I don’t get it that this happens with some on my emails on my laptop.

The difference, as I see it, is that your table and phone don't run Windows and aren't using the Microsoft Windows Mail client. Thus, I would ask the people who focus more on the Windows Mail Client vs people who know things about AT&T Mail.
This thread on Microsoft's Q&A site may be of interest:
