Apple Mail new yahoo mail going into trash

Ever since there was a Yahoo/ATT mail upgrade, and incoming mail goes into trash automatically, not my inbox.

Let's help get your emails routed correctly into your inbox, @ elayjay!

 

We suggest following these steps to ensure that there are no filters with an empty name that may be sending your emails to the trash:

  • Go to Settings/Account Security/Filters.
  • Look carefully at the Filters screen. The filter that sends incoming mail to trash is a period, and it looks like no more than a speck on your screen.
  • Highlight and delete it.


    Also, it may be filters that are routing some emails to the trash!

        (1)  If you've set up filters, the settings may be routing some emails to the trash. You can review your filter settings in AT&T Yahoo Mail and edit or delete any incorrect filters.

         (2) If you're using a mobile app or program, such as Outlook or Mac Mail, that is set up to delete email from the server, you'll need to contact the manufacturer for help.

Hi again @elayjay, let's get this sorted out for you.

 

To access settings, you'll need to log in to your yahoo email through a browser.

Go to Settings/Account Security /Filters and then check the filter screen. The filter that sends incoming mail to trash is a period, looks like no more than a dot on your screen. Deleted it and you should be good.

Thanks for clarifying Yahoo email via a browser. I deleted 2 filters.
