Need help finding an ATT person to resync my email ID for bellsouth.net
Months ago I finally talked to someone at ATT who knew how to fix my problem. I can log on to my email on a web browser via currently.com which goes to mail.yahoo.com. I can see my email in the preview pane but when I select an email it won't load. I get the swirly blue circle. This happens often but resolves within a short timeframe. Sometimes it won't. I was told when I call ATT I should ask to have someone resync my email address. The problem is it is IMPOSSIBLE to find someone who knows what to do. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours, talked to 7 different people and am now on hold (hold time approx. 20 min!). I use Chrome. I have cleared my cache/cookies, tried an incognito page and tried Safari. I can get my email on the iphone mail app and the yahoo app on my phone. The 5th guy I talked to at ATT today told me to download Thunderbird. I did, entered my email and password and I get a fault saying it cannot connect to the server. I have a legacy account ending in bellsouth.net. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!!
911 please.

If using Thunderbird, you need to get a Secure Mail Key and use that instead of the password during your account setup.
Create a Secure Mail Key - Email Customer Support
I think the guy who resynced your e-mail account was actually resaxing your syncopater to interface with the snarfblat. If you catch my drift.
Do you have a high speed Internet connection (e.g. over 5 Mbps)?

Hey JefferMC, I decided not to pursue Thunderbird. I thought I'd try it just because he was waiting on the phone. I ended up finally talking to someone who knew what I was talking about and she did resynced my email ID and it is working again. The next time it happens I will pour a large glass of wine, knowing it will take at least 8 people to get me where I need to go because even the helpful girl said there is only the main number and no number to be able to reach her department specifically. The helpful girl also told me the ATT guy should not have recommended a non ATT fix like Thunderbird. Thanks for trying to help my hoosawhatit become unstuckerated.
