McAfee software

My AT&T supplied McAfee software indicates it will expire in 19 days

When I click renew, a login for a McAfee account appears. I do not have a McAfee account.

Does AT&T no longer supply McAfee antivirus software??

How do I renew???

Hi @MaxEntropy, we'd be happy to help with your McAfee software.

To access, your McAfee account you can use your AT&T credentials.

You can update your McAfee software by following these steps:

  • Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
  • Do a right-click on the McAfee icon in the system tray—the McAfee icon will appear as an M, a shield, or both.
    • If you can't see the icon, select the arrowhead to display the hidden icons.
    • If the McAfee icon isn’t located in your taskbar, search for it by opening the Start menu and then selecting All Programs.
    • If you can’t find McAfee on your computer, you’ll need to download it again.
  • Select Update Security. The McAfee Agent Updater window appears with a display of the update's progress.

When the update completes, you can select Close, or the window will automatically close after several seconds.

Please reach back out to let us know if this helps.

The McAfee icon does appear in my system tray. However, "Update Security" does NOT after a right-click. The options that appear(Check for updates; Scan; Change settings; Verify subscription; View My Account; Get Help).

So NO, this doesn't work.

To login to the McAfee account, I tried my AT&T credentials(email address & pwd).

NOT recognized. So NO. None of these methods work.

Thanks for updating us, @MaxEntropy!

We recommend that you uninstall your existing software, and then download and re-install AT&T Internet Security Suite to your computer.

While you're doing that, please share which Internet plan you currently have.  AT&T Internet Security Suite Powered by McAfee is offered as a free service to customers with a level of 3.0Mbps DSL/HSI service or faster.

Let us know how it goes!
