How do I make playstation remote play work over att wifi? For some reason it gets stuck on checking for network and fails to work on my Mac

When I access the remote play app, it gets stuck on either connecting to device or checking for network. This only happens on wifi. It works over cellular data. I tried using wifi on my MacBook Pro and iPad to access remote play but it did not work. Is there anything I can do? I've tried port forwarding but don't know exactly what device to choose. Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out to us, and we'd be happy to help with your PlayStation remote play setup @SivanP.

To get started, we'd recommend checking out this information on how to get help with your internet service:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of your gateway or hub. If you have:
  2. An internal battery backup, remove it.
  3. DSL service, unplug your telephone cord from your modem or gateway.
  4. Wait 20 seconds.
  5. Put the internal battery back in, if applicable.
  6. Plug the power cord back in. If you have DSL service, reconnect the telephone cord.
  7. Wait up to 10 minutes for the gateway or hub to restart.

This can help clear any congestion on your gateway that could be causing your Playstation remote play to be unable to properly set up. We'd then suggest checking out our information on Port Forwarding, and to make sure that it's properly set up to the correct device.

Let us know if this helps.
