No.  While AT&T is currently investigating options to provide our customers with improved email services, your email address will not change. 

Will my email still work?

Yes.  Your email address will still function as it has, making it possible for you to send and receive emails, as well as access other mail-related features.

When will the Yahoo-Verizon deal take place?

We are not able to comment on the status of the Yahoo-Verizon agreement.

What are AT&T’s plans for email with Verizon buying Yahoo?

Do I need to cancel my service with Yahoo? 

That’s not needed.  Your att.net email account (including email IDs on various domains, including att.net, sbcglobal.net, bellsouth.net, ameritech.net, flash.net, nvbell.net, pacbell.net, prodigy.net, snet.net, swbell.net and wans.net) is not owned by Yahoo.  There is no need to cancel any of these email services as AT&T will ensure your email remains active and functional as we explore our email provider options.

Will this affect my ability to log on to att.net?

No.  Your current email address will continue to function as it has, and you’ll continue to be able to use this email address to sign into att.net.

After Yahoo is absorbed by Verizon where will the Ameritech.net domain email service go?

I just received an updated terms and conditions email from Yahoo.  It indicated unless we took action prior to June 8, 2017, we would be subject to the new Yahoo terms and conditions.  Please advise what we are supposed to do for our att.net email.  Thanks much!!  sel

Will AT&T still continue with the current email server(Yahoo) when the sale to Verizon of Yahoo closes

next month? That will be a curious situation.

I got and Email saying if I do not do something with my Yahoo Mail Version will be taking it over.  What is going to happen to all my emails that I have.  Are they going to get lost, go somewhere I can not get to them or is AT&T going to move them so I can stay with AT&T?  Can you help me?

I am the Yahoo Groups coordinator for a non-profit organization.  The group has been in existence since 2008.

We need to know if we should switch our group to Google or some other option now.
