Can't Login to my email

I've been trying for weeks to login to my email account that I have had for like 18 or 19 years now. Every time I try to login I get this message, "

There have been too many failed sign in attempts. To get help, please use Forgot user ID or Forgot password links.
Care Code: 205.2 [LU003]"
I've tried to reset the password but it says the answers to my security questions are not correct. I've called AT&T support and they seem clueless. I really need to be able to access this email account. Can anyone help me with this by phone, online, or here? Please!

We understand it is important to have access to this account, especially after having it for so long. Are you accessing your email from an email client or from a website? Does trying a different device or browser change the result?

 First we suggest using the following steps to reset your password:

  • Go to com/myatt
  • Select Forgot Password
  • Complete the password info
  • Since answering security questions is not working, select temporary password
  • Follow prompts
  • Create a new password


If you were previously logging in from a website, we suggest clearing your cookies and cache and switching to another browser. Does that change the outcome? Lastly, we recommend using our sbcglobal email troubleshooting article for additional steps.
