Brand New domain black listed

Hi  my domain  FunakoshiKarate.online   and its IP (

209.182.194.222) seems to be blacklisted by you , as only users from ATT&T can't see it , this is very weird for me as I just bought the domain in go daddy  (brand new) .

Please help  , this must be some kind of mistake

Thank you for letting us know about this, xingk2000.

First, we will need to determine if your domain is being blacklisted by us, or if the webhost of your domain has us

blacklisted.

We suggest running a Traceroute From an AT&T Router to one of the websites you are trying to access. We recommend doing so from the router to lessen any errors. A traceroute will check the connection between your AT&T service and the website, and will show different statuses known as "hops" which will show where the connection drops.

After you've ran the traceroute, can you share with us the information shown on the different hops, so we can help determine what is occurring?

We hope to hear back from you!

Hello ! Thanks for the quick replay, it was my host who realized about this problem and recommended me to contact you as we are blocked from you, we get the alert screen “Spam Page Blocked for Your protection” from AT&T ,  this is super weird ask how could this website be sending spam if it was just bought (domain) in Go Daddy. We don’t even have anything there yet we were just installing WordPress when we got this alert.

I have spoken to many friends and realize only people who have AT&T in their homes get this alert, everybody else can watch the website with no problem.

please help !

It's not all AT&T Internet customers.  I can access the website just fine.  It's only those customers who use the AT&T Internet Security software.  They can turn that thing off or they should be able to tell the software to allow your site through.

We've seen this software block sites that seemingly have no reason to be blocked.  It's tough to get it unblocked, at least through this forum (most of us are just customers like you) because ATTHelp has no way to do that.

What has seemed to help some people is to post in the Business Community forum ask to have the URL whitelisted.

Hope that works for you!

Thanks for getting back to us @xingk2000!

If possible we do still recommend, if possible having one of the friends you mentioned with AT&T run a traceroute to determine if there are any hops that might be causing what we are seeing. You can check our forums post that Donovan linked for more specifics on tracerouting.

In the meantime, we want to let you know that AT&T will never blacklist a domain directly without confirming it as a security risk or in violation of a law. If we have blacklisted your domain for any other reason, it is most likely because it was reported to an online Real-Time Block List or RBL. We suggest searching online for one of these services and running a search using your domain name or IP address to determine what group has reported your domain and if there was a listed cause.

If you believe your website has been targeted unfairly, you can reach out to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net or abuse@att.net in order for our backend fraud department to take a look. If they do not find any definitive reason why your domain was listed on a RBL, we should be able to remove your domain from the blacklist.

Please let us know here if this information was helpful and if you have any additional questions or concerns.

ATTHelp Wesley....

Please stop posting this boilerplate.  It sends people to abuse_rbl, which is only for EMAIL blocks, not WEBSITE blocks.  Other AT&T articles say abuse@att.net is for other issues, not website blocks.

Plus, I've yet to see either address do anything except ghost the users.

It doesn't look like you've posted in the bizcommunity forum but instead keep looking for something that nobody in this forum can do for you.

Still can't see it over there, maybe it's private.

So did they say they couldn't help or did you just not get any response?

You can't change it so you'd just have to tell us if you'd like.

Doesn't seem like a lot, but it's more than you'll get anywhere else so it's worth hanging in there and hoping they follow through.
