AT&T Agent phishing/Scam?

Was just signing up for AT&T internet service on the main ATT.com site when i had a few iffy things happen back to back. After Submitting; the Order never fully processed, confirmation email never went through, and the chat agent sent a fishy link. Anyone else seen this? my scam sense was tingling. seams to me that this breaks the "we will never send you a link or ask for your payment information" policy.
