Upgrade us to Fiber Optics
I've had at&t internet for 2 yrs now and my speed is 3.0mps download, and 2.3 upload. Sadly that is a $74.99/monthly plan which is sad. That's not even enough to watch TV. Anyone else have this sad problem in their area. When I call them all they say is they put in an order to have it brought to my area. I've called over 20 times over 2 years and still nothing. They would get more customers if they actual offered high speed internet everywhere!! Yes is uneducated hillbillies in the backwoods deserve high speed internet for our new found fangled puter thingys. Please fix our high speed at&t!!!

This is a customer populated community and you have posted in the cell phone forum, (moving...) this is an internet question, which would be better addressed at your local AT&T store to see if your location is eligible for fiber. Otherwise you need to look for a different service provider who may be offers cable internet in your area

Hello spookylady1031. We understand how important it is to have faster internet speeds at home.
We recommend using our internet availability tool to find out if you may have options for faster internet in your area.
If you live in a rural area where houses are miles apart. Consider AT&T Fixed Wireless - a solution for rural areas.
Additionally, we are continually expanding our fiber footprint to more households every day. While we do not have exact dates for when Fiber may be in your area, you may sign up for a notification if it does become available in the future. We will send you a notification via your preferred method as soon as AT&T Fiber becomes available to you.
Here are some reasons why Fiber may not be available in your area:
Please let us know if this helps!

3M Internet will allow a single device to watch Netflix in Standard Definition, only needs about 1.5 to 2.
Area to me means zip code, there is likely fiber in your zip code but not everyone will receive the upgrade. In fact by 2026 only 50% of estimated 60+ million hardwired Uverse platform will have the fiber option. (30+ million).
If desiring faster speeds and not willing to relocate, you will need to consider your other options which may include local cable company, a cellular hotspot or even satellite internet.
