My friends use Rocket Fiber and get 1000mbps download speed while I only get 50mbps with AT&T... can AT&T use Rocket FIber?
My friends painfully have faster internet than me because they live in Detroit. With Rocket Fiber, they can get speeds up to 1000mbps. Now it is worth noting that Rocket Fiber is not an ISP, so it is not in direct competition with AT&T.
What about my Internet? It's only 50mpbs.
Let me illustrate this:

Now at the moment I don't know if my area has access to AT&T fiber, but I also know that this has never been an option provided to me. I figure it may be advantageous for AT&T to partner with Rocket Fiber in my particular area considering the amount of businesses that are situated in this area, and not to mention the hospital near by.
Though if fiber is available, why am I not getting an offer?
If AT&T Fiber1000 costs about $60/mo and goes up to $80/mo after a year, and Fiber500 is $45/mo. and goes up to $65/mo., why would I stick with just AT&T regular internet with 50mbps at $63/mo?
I just like to know who I need to contact about this?
I think my dashboard just glitched trying to look up if I could get fiber...
So yeah... what do I do?

Instead of waiting for a notification that may never come, checking availability is what you do. Though confused by your "dashboard" not working for looking up availability. Perhaps try internet browser on PC or calling instead of it?

Found out that my area is not currently available for AT&T fiber, so I will see what I can do during the week to make a request on what needs to happen so it can be.
Edit* The funny thing still is that my city apparently does in have AT&T fiber, but is not in my area specifically. Hopefully it's not too much to ask for it to be available here. Though I wonder if there may be environmental concerns or who knows what given my location.

If AT&T fiber is not available, then that is the answer. They are prioritizing new developments over expanding coverage or upgrading existing areas. They have their own plan (not public info unfortunately), so do not currently have a process to request fiber.
So you will need to seek out another ISP as good chance you will not see AT&T fiber for years, if ever.

Hi @J_East, thank you for your interest in AT&T Fiber internet.
Check out our coverage map to see where AT&T Fiber is currently, and cities that are underway. If AT&T Fiber is available, you can order now!
Note: AT&T Internet is not available in all areas, but AT&T is working to change that! Below, you will find information explaining:
If your neighbor has AT&T Fiber, we can research your address to see if it's available.
If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

UPDATE:
So after posting this I learned that AT&T Fiber has not yet been installed in my area.
However, since posting this, Comcast has installed fiber in our area... but I don't want to fall into a trap buying Xfinity and getting conned into a 2 year plan.
I don't understand why AT&T has not yet installed Fiber in our area, especially with all of the businesses and homes around. At this point, Internet50 is outdated and doesn't work well with the kind of setup I need.
It would be nice to talk to a head of AT&T development for Michigan so we can sort out what is actually going on. I find it hard to believe all that would need to happen is asking my landlord to call AT&T and say "hey, give us Fiber" and it just magically happens.
