Well here we are again, we know AT&T plans to End Access pricing in April 2020 but still no word yet what they plan to do regarding what the price will be raised to for the 6mb plan. Anyone care to find someone willing to be honest and tell us oh great at&t leaders of the uverse plans what the pricing is scheduled to go up to?

I've just found this on the AT&T Access web site, and it looks like Access is here to stay, "AT&T greatly values all its customers and knows the internet is an important resource for jobs, education, connecting with family and friends and a whole lot more. That’s why we offer, and will continue to offer beyond April 2020, programs like Access from AT&T to provide an affordable way to connect online."

i've had att phone then internet service since forever. after the AOL years, came att dsl... service (Edited per community guidelines). their data speed plans are all lies, in that you can get UP TO those speeds for like one second.. then expect slow interenet pretty much like AOL/dial up years.. 1TB data limit.... HA good luck using even 100MB of it, if anything loads.. streaming on multiple devices... cant even get youtube at 240p to play...

Don't get too Happy just yet folks thinking pricing will stay at $10.00 a month, Just got off the phone with at&t access @ 1-855-220-5211 and asked if it's true that the access program will be extended past April 2020 and she said their Lawyers have advised them "Not to say that access will be extended because it's currently under negotiation and their customers will be advised by mail once it's decided". So at&t care to explain this message "AT&T greatly values all its customers and knows the internet is an important resource for jobs, education, connecting with family and friends and a whole lot more. That’s why we offer, and will continue to offer beyond April 2020, programs like Access from AT&T to provide an affordable way to connect online." currently on your website?

This is a customer-to-customer forum therefore AT&T is not going to respond. We are customers just like you so unless someone has a crystal ball or some sort of inside info, it's all speculation.

AT&T will no longer be REQUIRED to offer the Access program but there is no official word that it is ending.

I called AT&T yesterday, and the rep I had spoken with told me that AT&T has no plans to end the Access program as AT&T has extended the Access program with no foreseeable end date in sight.

Well, I'll believe it when I get my bill for May, June, July, August, and the rest of the other months.

I just read it right off of my AT&T app. By chance I happened to stumble across it when I clicked on the “my internet” tab and scrolled down. It says: “Access from AT&T ends 04/24/2020.” But the fact that no official announcement has been made, nor has it been stated on my bill, is very upsetting.

@Username101 I'm looking all over, and I don't see it anywhere on my AT&T app.

Oh wow, I've just found this on the AT&T Access web site, "AT&T greatly values all its customers and knows the internet is an important resource for jobs, education, connecting with family and friends and a whole lot more. That’s why we offer, and will continue to offer beyond April 2020, programs like Access from AT&T to provide an affordable way to connect online."

Hmmm, I wonder what other programs AT&T will be offering.

@cutberth What new story have you heard?

I have just noticed that AT&T has removed this off the Access website, "That's why we offer, and will continue to offer beyond April 2020, programs like Access from AT&T to provide an affordable way to connect online."

Now, the site just rambles on about AT&T's COVID-19 commitment and offering two free months to new Access customers by April 30, 2020.

I don't know why AT&T is playing these games with us. Well, AT&T is going to lose us to other low priced "digital divide" providers that are out there.

Note: the part that AT&T took off the Access site.

Very true ttaannoysme, they should be turned into the BBB for trying to hide the post. We should have known their evil ways knows no bounds.

When i called them they said "our Lawyers advised us not to confirm or deny the continuation of the access program". That was enough for me to realize they planned on ending it. Lucky for us Spectrum Internet assist is $17.99 a month right now call 1-855-227-0112 but you have to sign up before 03/31/2020 to get that pricing. That is not as good as the 10 bucks we had but it beats the 40-50 bucks that at&t plans on raising our bills.

Too bad for at&t losing my 54 dollar a month phone bill and 10 dollar internet, so just my business for them they will be losing is 64 dollars a month.

@Taylormaid12 Access from AT&T”, AT&T's $5-to-$10 Internet service for households enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), will no longer be required by Federal Communications Commission order and may well come to an end in April 2020.

@Taylormaid12

About two weeks ago, I called AT&T to cancel Access before it came to an end and before I'm billed the regular rates. As it turned out, AT&T didn't cancel my service as per my request as I had received an email from AT&T reminding me of a due payment. The payment was in the usual amount, and nowhere on my bill or on myAT&T does it inform me that Access is ending.

A few weeks ago, I did speak with an AT&T rep, and the rep told me that AT&T won't be ending Access for me as long as I don't make any changes to my account, I continue making timely payments, and that I don't do anything that will get my service shut off.

@Taylormaid12, Are u sure? My calendar says that theres an ATT Order Conf on the 23rd. What does that mean, if not ending program? Is there a site u can recommend, regarding this?

It is April 29, 2020 and AT&T billed me the usual $10.55. I guess Access hasn't ended yet.

These are all silly comments. Access has ended, no additional customers can receive the Access rate. However, the existing rates will continue for 12 months following your annual renewal date, whatever that date may have been. After that, it's standard customer rates.

No OFFICIAL word from AT&T and there appears to be a new slicker web page

@TontoEpstein I've been an Access customer since 2016, and my June 2020 bill was the usual $10. I have spoken with an AT&T Access rep, and the rep told me that AT&T has no plans to terminate the Access program indefinitely. I don't know where you get your info.

I just got an email (12:26 AM) “review your AT&T order” I click it and it says something about my new bill will be $65 a month. So I go on to my AT&T app and it says I used all my data for my home wifi, even though it just restarted on the 3rd. Then when I click view my bill it says:

Monthly plan charges for Jan 04 - Feb 03  $10.00
Internet 10 Stand-alone(Access from AT&T Promotional Offer)
$10.00
Unlimited Usage Plan Stand-aloneAccess from AT&T Promotion - No Data Overage Fees (Expires Jun 30, 2021)
$0.00
I am so confused. I didn’t order or request any new plan I don’t know what that email is talking about $65.
