upgrading fixed wireless towers
I have called numerous times to try to get Fixed Wireless Internet at my house. Every time I call they say the tower is full and they are working on upgrading it. So I have to wait until somebody moves or cancels service to be able to get internet at my house. My question is, how long does it take to upgrade the towers? Does it take a month, six months, a year? They aren't able to give me any sort of timeline. They just tell me to keep checking back.

I don't know a lot about fixed wireless other than all the complaints I see from users here. Almost all of those are based on being connected to a full tower. So be careful what you wish for....if someone bails on the service and you take their place, you're now on a tower that's too full to give reliable service.

Right now we are using the hotspot on our cell phones. You can imagine how fast we use up the high speed data with streaming. Then we have to struggle through the rest of the month with throttled slow internet until the data resets. The only other option is Viasat. It's over $100 per month and I've read bad reviews on it. I don't want to sign a two year contract and it not be any better than what we've got. That was why I wanted the Fixed Wireless.

I currently have fixed wireless. I’ve had it for 5 years. It has not worked the past 5 days due to crowding on the tower, they basically have too many people somehow and now I can’t even use the service I’m paying for and nothing else is available where I live :(
