Unprofessional tech

At&t technicians came and cut out fiber optics line and they left without any notification.
The  work is very unprofessional and horrible. This is not the way you would want your employees to represent your company.

Wires all over the place, lack of communication and very poor quality of work.

Company policy is to try to complete installations, place fiber in cracks, tape, create a buried drop request where the local burial crew, generally local contractor, will install new fiber line by boring under the (3) driveways and trenching in the yards.

Depending on area can hopefully expect fiber to be buried in 2 to 4 weeks.

The alternative is not to perform the install, place a buried drop request and have customer wait several weeks for obtaining the service they ordered.

The other option is place fiber on ground along side of first location across the backyards of three addresses to house with service. No boring under driveways, but burial crew would be digging, trenching across three yards that might have underground dog fences, irrigation (sprinklers) and possible fenced yards needing access to.

None of the options are appealing to me, therefore shorter distance, across driveways, knowing the temporary fiber placed will be thrown out after new fiber is buried was the installer’s decision.

No it’s not ok this work is unprofessional the fiber optics is made of glass so obviously cars can’t drive over it. And I have the issue that the tech cut my line without any reasoning behind it if there was he fail to address that issue

We hear you @Mboe. This is not the experience we'd like you to have. We're here to help!

When it comes to exposed cable, The best place to pose your inquiry would be the AT&T Buried Wire Center at 800.924.9420, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM ET

If you have already been in contact with that team, let us know. We'll look into it further!
