Please help- Dig Ticket/ AT&T Lawn Damage unresolved after nearly 6 weeks & counting
On November 11, 2022, AT&T had a huge pit dug at the front of my home, on the property line shared with my neighbor near the street. They claimed it would be filled the next day, which naturally was just total (Edited per community guidelines). Over 100 SF of lawn has been destroyed at the front of our properties, now covered in sandy dirt, as we approach 6 weeks and counting. AT&T's dig team made 4 pathetic site visits in 6 weeks (see photos and description at end of post) where they still refuse to make acceptable repairs as promised by replacing the sod and topsoil. Every week, I call AT&T for resolution and they either forward me onto the next person, or they promise me a supervisor will call me within 48 hours, and it never happens. I literally have dozens of hours invested over the course of 6 weeks, between emails, calls, or being placed on hold for very long periods of time which hasn't gotten me anywhere besides wasting AT&T resources and mine by speaking with people in outsourced call centers in India, the Philippines, and Texas. It's literally impossible to get anyone at AT&T to take control of this issue and their screw up, but instead they just forward me to the next person in the buried wire department, say it will get repaired soon, or promise me someone else in a higher position will call me back. During all of this wasted correspondence with AT&T, no email signatures contain anyone's last name or direct extension number to follow up on this issue. Their correspondence is intentionally left generic with the main 1-800 number as the only point of contact, or a generic email Bwire@AT&T.com, so the process starts all over again with each new call or email, not placing any responsibility on AT&T to follow up on way past due damages and issues. Nor will anyone that's called, forward me to a supervisor or provide me contact information for any supervisors. They claim they don't have that capability which is insane. I'm in Boston with my family looking after a sick relative, and my home with AT&T issues is in Florida, otherwise I would fix the damage they created myself because I'm so frustrated, but I shouldn't have to be the one to make repairs to their damage. I honestly think that's what AT&T wants and pushes, since 2 streets over in my neighborhood, there is another pit that was dug by AT&T in the front of an old lady’s house and abandoned 4 months ago left for her to resolve. Naturally, she cancelled her su(Edited per community guidelines)cription with AT&T which is totally understandable. Is there anyone on this forum that can please help me find resolution to this nonsense? Thanks in advance! I seriously have never encountered any company that is so dysfunctional. As an FYI, attached are photos from my frustrated neighbors with my description. Photo 1- is the pit that was dug and abandoned on 11/11/21. After 10 days, with numerous calls and emails someone finally returned to the site on 11/21/22 to rearrange the barricade and they did a terrible job at pushing the best healthy topsoil into the whole to fill it, while leaving the sand behind to kill the grass and completely bury my neighbor’s sprinkler head as shown in photo 2. I made more calls, so 3 days later on 11/24/22 AT&T sent someone out to uncover the buried sprinkler head, and they tossed the orange barricade mesh and steaks into my neighbor’s hedges. Again, more calls, so 12 days later on 12/6/22 AT&T sent out a 4th person to mix the dirt and sand, so it doesn't kill more grass and again they left the barricade and steaks in my neighbor’s hedges. Since 12/6/22 no one has returned for the last 15 days, and no one will return my calls and emails as we almost complete week 6 of this mess. AT&T clearly states in writing that they will replace sod and topsoil if they destroy someone's lawn, so that's what I kindly ask for with each request as they a(Edited per community guidelines)olutely refuse to make even mediocre repairs at best. I seriously doubt anyone reading this will find these "repairs" nor my experience with AT&T acceptable. Someone please help me, if you can provide any guidance. Again, thanks in advance!

Hey nhbarchitect. We understand your frustration and would be happy to help with the lawn damage that you have.
In order to get further assistance with getting this resolved, we'll need for you to check out more information about submitting a property damage claim. Our claims are handled through a third-party administrator, Sedwick. For damages to a yard, we'll need for you to reach out to 800.924.9420, prompt 2. They're available Monday through Friday between 7:30 am-6pm ET.
Please reach back out if you have any further questions. Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

I appreciate the feedback, however this is the vicious loop that customers get put through with no resolution whatsoever, as seen multiple times on this forum when searched. AT&T states that claims are handled through a 3rd party administrator, Sedwick. When one clicks on the link that you provided to file a claim with Sedwick, it clearly states "For damage to yards, plants, or bushes, please call the AT&T BWIRE group" which I have been doing multiple times weekly for well over a month now. Each time I call, they open up a new ticket number claiming someone will make repairs ASAP and a supervisor will be calling me soon, then the ticket number is either abandoned since no one at AT&T ever follows up, or the ticket number is closed. To date in 6 weeks, no returned phone call or resolution as promised weekly so I call again and start the painful process all over again. Meanwhile AT&T stands there pointing the finger at Sedwick, while Sedwick stands there pointing the finger at AT&T. So Robert, I kindly ask where do I go from here, since I followed your instructions already weeks ago, multiple times? I'm also not sure why AT&T removed the photos from my post 2 hours ago. I placed the photos for others to see that are in a similar situation, in hopes to help them out. AT&T removing photos is certainly fishy, and makes it look like there is something to hide from the public.

The photos were removed by the forum bots. File a bbb complaint and you will receive a call from the office of the president.
