OUTSIDE WIRES TO THE POLE

How do I get to speak with someone at ATT? Our home was affected by the winter storms 12-31-2022. A tree fell and We lost power for 15 day and stayed elsewhere. Power was finally repaired and internet restored. Now I have wires from the pole that are just dangling and the support wire from the pole to the ground are slack. I have had SMUD come out to assess. They have told me they are communication wire and I should contact my provider. I keep getting in a loop with ATT and no where to turn. I have small children and dogs I do not want tangled up in those wires. We do not have underground service

800-288-2020 to report low hanging wires. A tech appointment with 4 hour arrival window can be scheduled. Someone 18 or older needs to be home during this window.

Communication wire could be telco such as ATT or could be local cable company. An ATT tech would not touch cable company wiring.

Zip code?
While ATT offers hardwired service in selected areas of 21 states, there are 29 states that would be a different telco provider. Even within a zip code could have multiple telco providers that would not touch the others wiring, example my zip code has over 15,000 addresses with ATT covering 90% or about 13,500 and CenturyLink the other 10% or 1500 addresses.
