Internet Installation at New Address

I've got a unique issue. I'm building a house on a private road(i.e. driveway) 700 feet off of a county highway. The issue is our new address, assigned by the county 911 office, does not show up on any of AT&T's maps/databases, so they are refusing to send a technician out to even investigate the possibility of telephone/internet options available. Both of our next door neighbors have AT&T DSL internet and telephone. One day, an AT&T technician named Joe Horton was working on one of my neighbors boxes. I stopped and asked him about the possibility of telephone/internet at my new house and he took a minute and looked and told me the lines were available at the county highway, and should be available to my house. How can I get AT&T to send a technician out to investigate, and install telephone/internet? I would appreciate any assistance.

Request an address validation. It might take a couple weeks.

Thank you spoom2. I did enter an address validation on 02/17/20(ticket # 4201906) but I have not heard back and assumed it had been closed or cancelled. Perhaps they have an enormous workload and haven't gotten to it yet.

Don't know if this will help for getting status of your ticket or not. Worth a try.

if your neighbors have legacy dsl then your out of luck, at&t has been shutting down dsl for many years and havent allowed new customers for many years as well.
