How do I get AT&T to bury the cable in my yard after installation?

Hello,

My internet was installed 5 weeks ago and I was informed that AT&T would bury the cable that runs from the street to my house within 10 days. It is still above ground, unburied. I tried to contact via the chat and now see a new order on my account for the internet I already have. How do I get someone to come bury the cable? I can't figure out how to contact someone local or to get the help I need with the question topics.

Call below, they work with local contractors to have wiring buried.

This is dependent upon the installer creating a buried wire request…

If the tech did not do so, there is no work order requiring a repair dispatch to create the order. Then wait time…

Ideally the contractor or ATT will call 811 to have existing wiring located (flags / paint) before the burial crew arrives. Depending on number of contractors used, staffing levels and number of requests before you determines when can expect… 1 week to several weeks in most areas. If in a northern state wiring is not buried once ground freezes, thus November to April in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Some utility companies mark or paint their lines. If you see a marked line with an exposed cable or wire, and it doesn’t say AT&T, be sure to report it directly to that company.

I am ready to fill in the pile of dirt over the cable.  Is there something special I need to do.  Att replaced a green box in our back yard and the contractors never came back to fill the dirt in.  FYI we don’t even have att the box is for other neighbors.  It’s been two weeks.
We just put our house on the market.  it would be nice to get this taken care of soon.  Our report # PX837F29.

To AT&T and their "outside contractors", it has now been four (4) weeks since our Internet was installed and still we have about 60 foot of cable laying across our front yard.  We have to lift or prop the cable up every since time we mow or do any lawn work.  The utilities were marked weeks ago and after all this time the markings are beginning to fade or disappear.  Communication with AT&T about this matter has been unbelievably frustrating - kind of an oxymoron considering AT&T are supposed to be a "communications" company.  On the phone now for the third time now in the last several days only to get the same story or excuse.  Perhaps it may be goof for AT&T to engage another or different outside contractor as AT&T is making a very by impressing on new customers that will be lasting.

Just finish the installation already.

Call our Buried Wire Center at 800.924.9420 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET. Remember: This number is just for unburied ground cables.

Your installer needed to create the work order to have the line buried.

Calling the above number will find out if they did, and when scheduled for.

If the installer failed to create a work order, another tech will need to be dispatched on a repair ticket to create a burial request. If you’re given a date with an appointment window normally 4 hours such as 8-12, 12-4, or 4-8 this is for an ATT tech to create a burial request. If just given a date with no time frame this should be for the burial crew which in most markets is a local contractor.
