Currently limited to only DSL at my residence. Can i request new cable/service be installed?

I want to know if there's a way to request upgraded service at my address. AT&T only seems to have standard phone lines run to my home. DSL just is not cutting it for 2 parents working from home, and a daughter also in and out of zoom meetings for school.

I've seen examples of people requesting new service/cables run to their homes, but don't know the right channels to request it.

Any help in directing me to the right people would be much appreciated.

You can check your address online to see what is the best service available.... https://www.att.com/availability/

Currently over 14 million addresses have been upgraded to direct fiber since Jan 2016 within the 21 state ATT footprint. This is less than 20% of total addresses, meaning 80% of addresses will have the same internet options as available in December 2015.

If willing to relocate (move) to an address where faster speeds are available, may be the fastest option. Fiber build outs from planning to activation is around a 2 year process with most builds this year being business, government, NEW GREENFIELD residential construction, and some apartment / condo complexes.

Thanks for your response 'my thoughts'. I understand their current planning now.

Outside of their planned upgrade schedule, Is there any way to pay for them out of pocket to run the lines? I'm open to all options at this time.

Have $100K to spend? maybe over the next three years?

Dedicated Business internet..... you pay to have the fiber ran from the source up to $10 a foot... 1 mile of fiber $52K.

Multiple year contract with SLA...

Pricing starts at $550 a month for a 10/10 connection, around $1080 a month for 100/100 connection.

This is a 1:1 fiber connection... residential ATT FIBER is a 1:32 connection or sharing a 2.5G fiber line with up to 31 other accounts in the neighborhood from the PFP.

Still interested in paying?

My thoughts, what do I have to do to get them to upgrade to at least a 50mbps on this crap DSL?  I lived two streets over and was able to receive 50mbps but it seems this address is 25mbps all because I'm ran from a different node at end of street. smh

I'm on the edge of Pensacola, a huge city, in a growing rural dev area Pace, FL.

It's 2020 and we're paying $60 for a 25mbps DSL ? lol

Come on guys, fork out that fat AT&T bank account and get these sub contractors out here and bore this fiber in the ground..

Between you guys and southern light aka Uniti all up and down through here,  should of been done by now but opinions are like buttholes, everyones got one just once stinks more than other huh?
