AT&T Lies to sign up people
I signed up for service and was told that I qualify to a $200 rewards card. Now they claim I don't qualify, adding new requirements AFTER installation. The new magically appearing requirements are:
- you must have switch FROM a competitor TO AT&T. just signing up for service at 1 of 10 locations you own isn't enough.
- It must have happened within the last 2 months.
- You don't get 200$, you get the competitors termination fee UP TO $200.
This is a blatant scam. I called back 5 times pretending to be a new customer and they lied to me every time. I recorded all these conversations. I contacted customer service and it was clear they deal with this a lot and had clear techniques to shuffle the customer from department to department while ignoring the actual issue. 4 hours, and 16 transfers later on a single call, it became clear this was not an honest company. I will be canceling my service today and filing paperwork and evidence with the BBB.
I will never use AT&T again. I didnt even want a 200$ gift card, i would have signed up without it... but as a lawyer, I do not appreciate being lied to. I will seek others for a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines) if BBB complaints fail to resolve the situation... this is obviously intentional and pervasive.

As an attorney, you might want to read the LEGALLY BINDING TERMS OF SERVICE
Pay close attention to Paragraph 13.

I was never presented with this document during the aforementioned phone calls.
