AT&T cut lines in 2 places 11 days ago in home of elder & will only "give an update in 7 days" in spite of 2 missed fix dates. Please help.

We need someone to please come fix the man made error of chopping lines in 2 places. So far, two fix dates no one has shown up. Now they say they will update in 7 days. This is horrible service. The elderly people here have no way to call for help, no house alarm working, no entertainment, no internet, no TV, only a sketchy reception cell phone. For 11 days so far. The dig center "field manager named Will" said this would be fixed yesterday.  No one showed again. This is very discouraging and I can not believe the unreliability of the employees and contractors.  If this had been an "act of God" it would be more understandable to some degree, but it wasn't.  The AT&T contractors just went chopping away with their machine, and no one is being accountable or even trying to remedy anything.  Total loss of faith in AT&T.

A.  File a complaint with the BBB.  That should get the attention of corporate.  Hopefully they can light a fire.

2.  Purchase a cheap (prepaid) cell phone for them to use in case of emergency

3.  If they do not already have an OTA antenna, I highly recommend keeping one attached to the TV at all times.  While there are limitations, it's better than nothing (and I speak as a senior with personal experience!)

Great idea on BBB and antennae! The problem with cell phone is the reception is sketchy, but it's really the only option for any source of communication. Thanks for your input. Appreciate it!
