Activating Ethernet Port

Hi Everyone -

Just discovered this community as a fairly new subscriber to AT&T U-verse.  Figured it would help me out with a somewhat small issue.  The install was extremely clean and well-done and the service has been great.  The service tech left me with a gigabit ethernet switch that could hooked up to the ethernet port on the face panel he installed as shown below.

When I attempted to hook up the gigabit switch to the yellow ethernet port, no signal lights flickered.  Upon opening the User Network Interface box, I found that none of the wires were connected to any of the vacant ports (which is totally fine and, from what I've seen, pretty normal).

My question is how to properly hook these wires up to activate the ethernet port.

Thanks in advance for all of the help!

You're looking at a regular NID on the back of your house, not an iNID.  There's no Ethernet being provided at an NID.  Ethernet may be provided at an ONT or an iNID, but you don't have one of those.  So, no connections here to give you Ethernet inside your home.

Ethernet will therefore be provided at your Residential Gateway (RG, or modem).  It has a total of four Ethernet ports.  Your installer may have backfed Ethernet from your RG into your wiring.  I kind of doubt it, but he may.  If he did, then there's a cable running from one of your RG Ethernet ports to a wall jack.  See if you can find that he did that.
