Why is my land line not operatonal when Uverse is not operational?
Why is it that my land line is dead when my computer is unplugged or my power is off. In the past, if I lost electric power, my land line still was operational. Is there a remedy to this? I am not comfortable when my land line is not operational

@davi4788 Did you happen to change to Uvoice? That is VOIP (voice over Internet protocol), not old POTS landline. Have to leave the RG plugged in for it to work, if no battery backup, goes out when power does.

We have not changed nor added anything to landline or router it's been the same sinces installed called several times the first time I called I was told to call back when line was clearer I got upset and asked him not to hang up how would he like to deal w this line everyday I haven't gotten anywhere w this problem even called ATT service man that gave us his cell phone# left message never heard from him my son goes online for Homeschooling that's why I have put up with this but we have paid our bill late but paid but we need our landline for bills and Dr appt s when messages are left so much static you can't understand the message
