If you have a BGWxx0 Gateway, check the Firewall > Advanced tab for the setting "Drop incoming ICMP Echo requests to Device WAN address".  What is that set to?

What details can you share about the port forwarding?

Hi there, sphejiahuan. We understand that your port forwarding is not working. We can help you with that.

Since you have called us already, let's make sure that following has been done:

  1. Factory Reset your AT&T router. The reason why you want to factory reset the router is to make sure that your router is clear from any errors and bad data.
  2. Start the portforwarding again. This guide will help you with the portfording for each router that AT&T has. This guide wil provide step-by-step instructions to make sure that you open the right ports that your 2nd computer needs to have.

When trying to ping the public IP address, you will need to make sure that you are outside of your home network. This way the port will direct the inbound tracffic to the correct port.

Try these things and get back to us with an update. If you are still unable to ping the public IP address, there is much more that we can do.
