PASSWORD

I'm attempting to hook up OR use my NEW printer via "WIFI".  It's asking for my WIFI password and for some reason I can't recall what it is?

Where can I go to locate that OR how do I reset it? I entered the password into into the printer that I've been using on my laptop(s) but for some reason it's not working.  On my laptops the WIFI automatically just connects when I log on since I've used it for a few years now but it's not working for my printer.   Any direction is appreciated!

Thanks

Hey there starksnest. Thanks for reaching out to us, and we'd be happy to help you locate your Wi-Fi password.

We'd recommend you checking out our information on how to find your Wi-Fi info:

  • You'll find a sticker on the side of your gateway with your original Wi-Fi settings
  • Wi-Fi name is labled Wi-Fi Network Name.
  • Wi-Fi password is labeled Wi-Fi Password. macOS user may need to etner $ at the beginning of the password.

If you've changed it from the password that's on the router, you can view your Wi-Fi information through our Smart Home Manager app. You'll also be able to change your current Wi-Fi information if you'd like to:

  • Sign in to Smart Home Manager.
  • Scroll to the My Wi-Fi card and choose Change next to the name or password.
  • Select X to clear existing info, then enter a new name or password.
  • Select Save
  • Reconnect your device with the updated network info

Please reach back out if you have any further questions. Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.
